Dear Fellow Parent,

My name is Christene Allspach – I am a fellow parent who would like to share a life-changing experience with you – if you’ll take a moment. As you know life as as a parent, single or otherwise is always challenging – but mine has been made MUCH easier by a special school and activity that my son has been involved in.

First of all let me tell you that I am a single mom.  I've been one since I was five months pregnant with my son Zachary.   When my son was five I was introduced to a life-changing program – that I can tell you with all honesty and sincerity that will make the responsibility of parenting not only easier but fun and educational as well.

Zachary was a shy five year old little boy when he entered kindergarten.  He walked at nine months of age; this caused his hips to not form properly.  He therefore was very pigeon toed and often tripped over his own feet.  He didn't really mind being picked on, as long as it was him who was the target of bullies.

However, if one of his friends were being bullied then there was sure to be a fight.   This of course caused many confrontations with myself, Zachary, and the elementary school administration where he was enrolled.  At my wits end on how to get Zachary to stand up for himself, before the bullies attacked him or his friends I began searching for mental and physical tools for him to use to arm himself.

Every where I turned people were saying put him in a sport.  Well we tried that, and for us it wasn't the answer.  Then a friend of mine suggested we look into the martial arts.  Wow was there ever a multitude of those to sort through.  Terribly intimated and not sure exactly what I was looking for I began going to different schools simply observing.  In the middle of my
search, Zachary was given a trial membership to attend STEPHEN OLIVER’S MILE HIGH KARATE as a gift from a friend.  This gift, as turned out, is one that truly just keeps on giving.

When the trial ended, with the help of my parents, I enrolled Zachary on an on-going basis.  Zachary turned seven, three months later.  So you can see I did not enter into this decision lightly and I encourage you to not do it either, but I do encourage you to come check out the schools.  Come with an open mind eager to learn for yourself and eager to let the people you meet help you and your child become equipped to deal with the world today.

Mile High Karate gave my son self esteem, self respect and self control.  It taught him perseverance, integrity, and how to obtain his goals by defining and working toward them.  It taught him that he could be strong and walk proudly and not become a bully by doing so.  It's given him a safe place to occupy his time and energies.  It has surrounded him with people who he can and does look too as positive role models who he admires and emulates.  STEPHEN OLIVER’S MILE HIGH KARATE has given him guidance and tools for him to use when he too someday becomes a parent.

As a long time and still active parent of a karate student, who is now a second degree black belt and instructor, I can tell you unequivocally that this will change your life.  We have seen literally hundreds of students both children and adults join the program and gain the things that my son did.  We have seen people’s lives changed by the STEPHEN OLIVER’S MILE HIGH KARATE program.

We've literally seen a student go from a shy unassuming beginner to a cadet at West Point and beyond.  I could go on and on about the things we've seen take place because of STEPHEN OLIVER’S MILE HIGH KARATE, but I'm sure you're getting tired of my rantings.

So let me just briefly tell you that STEPHEN OLIVER’S MILE HIGH KARATE has not only changed my son's life, but it has changed mine as well.  It has given me life long friends and co-parent helpers.  I no longer think of myself as a single parent.  As I often turn to a number of other parents, as well as the instructors at STEPHEN OLIVER’S MILE HIGH KARATE for guidance and support. I am a more confident parent now.

When parenting becomes a struggle again I look often to the tools STEPHEN OLIVER’S MILE HIGH KARATE gave to me. I believe with all my heart that the their program kept my son off the streets, from becoming a single-parent child statistic and taught me how to parent firmly with love and mutual respect.

As the next black belt test rapidly approaches I am reminded of my sons first test for black belt.  Seeing him achieve that goal and accomplishment fills me with an emotion I will never forget.  Having attended every test for this belt since that time to encourage and support the testers and their parents and feel that emotion each and every time they take their victory lap, is an
experience you should not deny yourself or your child.  It makes all the hard work, time and expense seem very minimal.

Someone told me once that the child I took to take his black belt test would not be the child I got back.  They were right.  They were so right.  He was transformed after those four years of hard work into a strong capable young
man of eleven (both physically and mentally).  Someone also asked me once if the time and expense had been worth it and what would be the amount of money I would take to let them erase the experience from our minds.  My answer was
no I did not regret spending the money or the time.  As for what amount of money they could give me to take it back, my response was lets talk ten times the current national debt, and then maybe I'll consider it.

I hope you’ll at least investigate this program. You will miss out on a lot if you don’t try it our for you child.

To raising confident children for the future

P.S. I’ve talked to Frank Brown – Head Instructor at the Littleton and Highlands Ranch location and asked what we can do to introduce you as I introduced Zachary to martial arts.

If you bring in this letter he has offered to work with me to offer you – at no charge or obligation – the following:

  • A free trial – two weeks of unlimited lessons;
  • A video tape that I was involved in of myself and other parents explaining martial arts instruction entitled “In their Own Words”

Free of charge.

  • A free audio tape for your child entitled “Be Your Best” that describes in an elementary school age child’s language the success skills taught

at Stephen Oliver’s Mile High Karate. These success skills were a key

ingredient to Zachary’s development in martial arts;

  • A free evaluative conference with Mr. Brown to give more information and feedback about your child’s potential in their classes.

--- All Free! ---

P.S.S. I’ve also arranged for you to receive a free uniform at the trial lesson if you take your first class in the next 7 days.
